The Volkshaus Basel is located in the heart of Kleinbasel, just a few steps from Claraplatz and only a five-minute walk from Messe Basel. Thanks to its central location, the hotel is easily accessible by public transport, car, or from EuroAirport Basel.

Arrival by Public Transport
As a hotel guest, you benefit from complimentary use of Basel’s public transport network throughout your stay.

From Basel SBB / SNCF Railway Station
Exit the station towards Centralbahnplatz and take tram line 8 in the direction of Kleinhüningen. Get off at Claraplatz. From there, it is just a short walk to the Volkshaus Basel.

From Badischer Bahnhof
Take tram line 6 in the direction of Allschwil and get off at Claraplatz.

Arrival by Car
Please note that the Volkshaus Basel does not have its own parking facilities. We recommend using the Rebgasse Car Park, located just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

From Zurich or Bern
Take the A3 motorway and exit at Basel Grenzach / Wettstein. Continue via Grenzacherstrasse and Wettsteinplatz to the Rebgasse Car Park.

From Germany or France
Follow the motorway to Basel Nord / Kleinhüningen, then follow the signs towards Messe Basel.

Arrival from EuroAirport Basel
Take bus number 50 to Basel SBB Railway Station (approximately 20 minutes). From there, take tram line 8 towards Kleinhüningen and get off at Claraplatz.

Alternatively, you can reach the Volkshaus Basel conveniently by taxi.
