Magical Courtyard

We are part again of Basel’s Magical Courtyard campaign and warmly welcome you to enjoy the holiday season in our beautiful “Zauberhof”. From 28th November to 23rd December 2024, our inner courtyard at Volkshaus Basel casts a very special magic spell: fairy lights create a sparkling starry sky and a magnificently decorated Christmas tree forms the centerpiece of the magical courtyard.

We invite you to leave everyday life behind and immerse yourselves in a festive, Christmassy atmosphere.

MAGICal COURTYARD CAMPAIGN BY BASEL TOURMISMUS

Our magical courtyard is the perfect place for families: kids take part in our exciting “Zauberhof Safari” competition by discovering small animal figures hidden in our Christmas tree. The grand prize is an overnight stay for the whole family at the Boutique & Design Hotel Basel. Additionally, we are organizing a fundraiser to benefit the children at the Bürgerliches Waisenhaus Basel (Basel orphanage).

There’s no shortage of culinary delights: our little ones may look forward to delicious punch after completing the “Zauberhof Safari”. Drinks are available on a self-service basis from Thursday to Saturday and can be consumed in cosy, warm seats in the courtyard. Not to forget: our Brasserie and Imi Bar provide special moments of pleasure for everyone.
